Tattoo Care

 

1. Gently remove bandage after 1-3 hours.

2. Gently wash with warm water and a fragrance free antibacterial soap (i.e. Dial Gold). After removing bandage and cleaning the tattoo, gently pat dry and apply a light layer of A&D ointment or *Aquaphor, Pride, Hustle Butter, Ohana Tattoo Butter. Repeat 3 times daily for 3 days then switch to a high quality, fragrance free hand lotion (i.e. Lubriderm) for the next two weeks or until healing is complete. When using the lotion, apply a very light layer every 3 hours.*if using Aquaphor, Pride, Hustle Butter or Ohana Tattoo Butter, use for the entire healing process.

3. Avoid chlorine pools, salt water, extended periods of time in water, direct sunlight, and any kind of rough treatment to your new tattoo for a minimum of two weeks.

4. When showering, do not allow water to hit your new tattoo directly. Be sure to thoroughly rinse off shampoo and body wash.

5. After your tattoo is completely healed, a sunblock of SPF50 or higher is required when exposed to ultraviolet light (sun, tanning beds, etc.)

6. DO NOT pick, scratch, or pull on any peeling skin. In the chance your tattoo develops scabbing, allow it to heal naturally and do not try to pick or pull it off.

7.Always wash your hands before touching your fresh tattoo.

Remember, tattoos have to go through a complete and very important healing process. Baby your new tattoo to ensure maximum results.

Saniderm Tattoo Care

  SaniDerm is a breathable, flexible barrier film designed to be worn for multiple days. SaniDerm will lock in your body’s natural fluids and enzymes keeping your new tattoo hydrated and speeding up the healing process.

  • Leave SaniDerm on for 4 to 6 days. When you are ready to remove the barrier film, grab a corner and peel in the direction of hair growth. Following removal, wash your tattoo with fragrance free, antibacterial soap. Gently pat dry and apply unscented, high quality hand lotion (i.e. Lubriderm). Repeat 3 times daily until tattoo is completely healed.
  • If SaniDerm is removed prematurely, follow our traditional aftercare instructions.
  • SaniDerm does NOT protect from the sun. Avoid direct sunlight, and any kind of rough treatment to your new tattoo for a minimum of two weeks. After your tattoo is completely healed, a sunblock of SPF50 or higher is required when exposed to ultraviolet light (sun, tanning beds, etc.)
  • After SaniDerm is removed DO NOT pick, scratch, or pull on any peeling skin.

You will need to purchase: 

1.ANTIBACTARIAL SOAP (Dial Gold liquid is a good brand.) available at all locations.

2.LOTION (Lubriderm, Curell, Aquaphor.  Must not contain fragrance, dyes, SPF or extra healing properties.  Just plain lotion)

 

Consultations

Consultations are free. If you are ready to set an appointment after the consultation, we will take a retainer of *$50 to 200 (depending on the project and artist) to secure the appointment.  The retainer is not extra, it will be applied to the total price of your tattoo once completed. The retainer is nonrefundable, but is transferable if you give us at least 48hrs notice of needing to reschedule. Retainers expire 8 months from the original appointment date and are forfeited in cases of no call/no show, very late arrival, rescheduling with less than 48hrs notice or rescheduling the same appointment more than twice.

Age restrictions regarding tattoos

You have to be at least 18 years old with a valid photo ID in the State of Florida. 

A minor, who is at least 16 years old, can get tattooed with a notarized minor consent form.  Both parent/legal guardian and ward must bring valid government issued photo ID's to the appointment along with notarized Minor Consent form. Your parent or guardian must accompany you for the procedure. Minors are discouraged from getting any very visible tattoos (hands, forearm, neck etc.) Tattoos/placement on minors is done at the discretion of each artist. Please let us know if you are a minor when scheduling an appointment.

Retainer Policy

Retainers are deducted from the total cost of your tattoo once completed. Retainers are non refundable, but are transferable if you give us at least 48 hours notice in advance of needing to reschedule.  They expire 8 months from the original appointment date. Retainers  are forfeited in cases of no call/no show, very late arrival, or rescheduling with less than 48 hours notice.

Your deposit secures your appointment time.  Our artists’ livelihood depend upon scheduled appointments coming in. Please let us know as soon as possible if you cannot make your scheduled appointment time.
